Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Well, if you don't mind the long lines at the airport check-in counter, and can afford the high price of plane tickets if you're flying or gasoline if you're driving, you go, girl! Fine lighting effects, and I like the reflective quality of the lake, and the mist in the background in your wonderful insert, Marilyn@

Travel is such a WONDERFUL thing, even when it becomes the sort of adventure that feels like you landed smack dab in the middle of a nasty hairball! Ah, but I wouldn't trade that; as always you capture the essence of a thing and distill it into straightforward speech. I love the image that accompanies this as well!

A friend from my youth, Bobbi, was paralized from the waste down. She hit all fifty states. Kissed the Blarney stone, watched Dervishes in India, and wrote and edited for Time Life Industries. She never had a garden and it was the one thing she regretted in life, the ability to simply be.
