Landscape photographer born in 1983 currently based in Oxfordshire, England.
For me photography is about much more than simply making pretty pictures, documenting locations or capturing memories. It is also about developing a deeper understanding of the world around us and exploring it through a creative eye. Seeking out photographs encourages me to look deeper and truly see things I might only previously have noticed. To my mind a successful landscape photograph is one that transports the viewer into the scene and evokes the same sentiments as I experienced at the time of shooting. Through sharing my images I hope to be able to bring you with me, put you in my shoes, and show you our beautiful world the way I see it.
Thanks for taking the time to browse my images, I hope you enjoy my photography!

Great work. How many pictures for the HDR?

just the 3 using the camera's auto exposure bracket (-2,0,+2 exp) - I shot in RAW so I could add lighter and darker copies if needed later but decided not to on this occasion

Magnificent shot. That's a wicked sky and the entire capture is excellent.

Great image, I find with all portrait format images viewed, because you scroll down to see it all it makes you see various "cropped" views of the image. It left me wondering if it would be even stronger without the out of focus grasses in the forground or less of them? Just a thought! Still a cracking shot anyway!

thanks for the comment =) I did play about with cropping the grass out and in the end decided it added some nice contrast to the foreground. Looking at it online here though I definitely see what you're saying about the 'sections' you see, maybe I should have resized to a smaller size - first time posting a portrait format photo on here....hey thanks, you made me realise something for future portrait format posts ;)
