Don't ever think that your artwok isn't good enough to be shared with us here on R'osity and I for one, am glad to see you posting this one, Marlene. It is beautiful in design, layout and composition. The foreground tree with its few remaining colored leaves is the added bonus to the view as it gives the overall render a super DOF. Sometimes we all come across the 'eogtists' here who think they are the expert and think they know the original intent of the artist and their render. Wrong, unless you are capable of being inside the artist's head when the render is being composed. Keep up the excellent work, Marlene. Looking forward to much more.

I totally agree with photostar... your Bryce work is fantastic! Please don't doubt your creative abilites because of some idiotic remarks! I love your art and when my family sees your images they all say, "Oh... I wish I were there!" I especially love this new one... and I DO wish I was there! Very beautifully done Marley!!! Perhaps it was jealosy, perhaps it was ignorance, perhaps it was .....oh who cares why the mean spirited words were posted, it was wrong to do it in that way. How the hell can anyone say a bad thing about your work? You are probably in the top rank of Bryce artists on Renderosity, sweetheart. Your work is always stunning and has made me try and improve what I have been producing. It's jealousy that fuels these cruel remarks. With this one you have again taken us to a beautiful place - the lighting and textures are spot on. Don't EVER consider giving it up!

Wonderful vista with a bit mystical touch!!!

Unfortunately we do not live in a fantasy where everyone is nice to each other, there are those out there who get some perverse joy in hurting and destroying. By deleting your gallery would have given the power to them. Something you don't want to do. I know this person hurt you by his comment, but that's all they were, words. I do not make light of them and there power, but remember the old adage: "Sticks and stones may broke my bones, but names will never hurt me." Your art is wonderful and by letting some little toad dictate whether we the community enjoy it or not is wrong. Ignore the toads and consider the pond they came out of. You have some great friends who have stood by you, you are very fortunate person. This is a fantastic scene and beautifully done.

I wasn't aware you had considered closing your gallery. That would have been a great loss for everyone (except maybe for that B*tthead). Glad you turned to your friends and decided to ignore Mr. Sourgrapes. Always a bad apple in every barrel. While I may have given you your first lessons in Bryce, you have grown far beyond my meager lessons. I do reserve the right to be your greatest critic, being your first teacher, that's only fair...lol. I am also extremely proud of your growth and progress. Wish I could take some credit for it but I can't...lol. You did it all yourself Marlene. Besides, I can only teach tools, I can't teach art. I don't understand why some people revel in hurting others. I try to give honest suggestions when I see that I can, otherwise I compliment the art. I don't know a lot but what I do know, from my experiences, I don't mind sharing if they're wanted. You should never let the words or opinions of others about YOUR art get to you. You make the art that you can and that you enjoy making. You share that with us, so that we may share in your creative vision. Skills at programs can always be worked on, I for one still need a whole lot of work with various things. But, for someone to just attack you is uncalled for, and I'll bet you any amount of money, they didn't even have a gallery. :P Anyway, I was going to say how cool and moody this image was, before I read your comments and I seem to have gone off on a rant. Anyway, keep the faith and keep making the art.

Marlene, this is a beautiful scene especially the tree at the front that looks so lifelike. The terrain work is also excellent with great textured surfaces and materials. I love the mist in the distance as well. I was deeply shocked to hear about the cruel comments that were posted to one of your images and am so glad that you didn't remove your gallery, this place would not be the same without your beautiful images. I for one, always look forward to the ebot telling me that you have posted a new image. A favoutite for sure considerring how close we were to losing you.
