Description

Swirling eddies, bubbling swells, churning whirlpools and jagged rocky outcrops greet you as you attempt to set ashore...and if that isn't enough, sea serpents up to fourty feet in length patrol the depths in search of prey. This image is my first in bryce6.1,and was partially inspired by photostar's ambition to render waterfalls in bryce in his image "The Lost Paradise".I created my falls in the terrain editor using the brush set to elevation. The rocky shoreline is a single terrain also created in the terrain editor using the elevation brush and carving out a rugged land mass. The terrain is textured in a cgtexture photo.I duplicated this terrain and rendered in a bryce forest terrain preset, raised it and moved it back slightly to create effect of foliage growth. The creature is the Dinokonda from Daz3d.I also created a cloud layer and a custom sky. Thanks for all your comments on previous image...Neil.

I like the ribble effect in the water, and the lightning and shadow in the picture, makes the texture on the mountain look nice.

That water looks really good. Good work in the terrain editor, it seems you can do everything with it! Good lighting too.

Exciting and mysterious render, Neil. Seems as tho you have conveyed the perfect ATMOS and terrains for the render. The waterfalls worked out very well for you, but what really catches my eye is the fantastic water and the positioning of the dragon...he looks like he is either struggling in agony there or just swimming along. It's totally left up to the viewer.

I agree with Keith, you can look at it anyway. You've been able to capture that misty, tropical/rainforest setting for your dragon in that very well textured water. Another stunning scene.

Excellent atmosphere you've created here Neil, the creature bubbling below the surface certainly gives a sense of fear. Tony :-)
