Description

I was so afraid when I took this shot because what you see on the foreground is a slack and muddy tarpaulin. I went on it in order to shot this « curious object » and I slid on it, was unable to walk neither climbing again to go back on the lane. Some teenagers, passing by, had fun about me ! When you like photo, you must take strong risks !;-) I hope you’ll appreciate and I thank you in advance ! Have a good week-end and "Joyeuses Pâques" ! And thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload: thumb_1640613.jpg "Stone petals"

They do look like lights. Excellent capture, and sorry about your "slip"!! I also take a few risks that probably shouldn't have.

Haha! Sorry Janis, I have to laugh, I can just imagine you, on the tarpaulin, I hope you were not wearing your high heel boots of the other day? The tarp is a lining for the water so that it doesn't seep away into the ground. I have one like this in my Koi pond, and I sprang a leak and had to drain the pond off for repairs. We photographers are all insane I think, the things we go through just to get the shot. In your case I think it was worth a little embarrassment, the shot is excellent. Bravo!!!!!

Interesting objects, but even more eye catching is the reflections in the water. Very well seen my friend. And sorry, I have to giggle at your description of your slip sliding around on the muddy tarp, only because I'd probably have done the same thing : )

Another very lovely shot, although the objects are not clear what it is like but it gives me sense as if they are chess soldiers ready for a battle in the river ... very excellent capture Janis and I am waiting for your next new shot...good luck

yes, it's a fountain (as so many of your fans have said): You can see the spouts, and the lights (which give luminescence to the water at night). It's like a primal garden made of metal and rust. But you captured the water, too, in a semi-state of disturbance, and it gives the reflections this jazzy squiggle as if they were drawn on quickly, or poured onto the picture. And the picture has a tonal harmony too---that deep rusty black, greenish sheen, like there's light inside it. You know Robert Capa? What he went through to get a shot? He shot photos at D-Day, among other places: You're in good company! Stay healthy! A captivating shot, making the familiar new.
