Description

Another desert image with the title explaining the view, perhaps. This was rendered with the Premium settings set to 'soft shadows.' And, it was another terribly long render time as the original was 1920 x 1440 size. Enjoy & thanks for viewing and commenting... Bryce Resized, sharpened and sig. with Paint.Net

This has a good 'layering' effect of strata of the cliff face, which is softly and nicely lit. You get a sort of 'overlay' of shadows on the colour gradations which is interesting. As I'm pants at Bryce I can't say exactly how difficult this must be but I know enough to know it would be a nightmare for most people to achieve. Then there's that dark gorge in the background which doen't look inviting at all! (I reckon that's where the trolls are hiding, personally.) A subtle one, this, Keith. Excellent!

You achieve the most realistic and beautiful textures in Bryce I have ever seen. This is no exception, wonderful desert scene with superb lighting. Well worth the long render in my eyes. Well done, Keith.

A beautiful scene!!! The lighting is superb, the textures are extraordinary!! It looks so quiet and peaceful with nothing to disturb the serenity except a soft breeze and maybe the call of a bird!!

Those 'soft shadow' times are a killer in Bryce. Still, it was worth it, though. It brings out the peaceful mood... of a lovely quiet, desert scene. By the way, Keith, there's a lovely opportunity for a waterfall back there! You could turn this desert into The Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Gotta love those render times! The "soft shadow" setting really seems to have added to your scene, which has a nice warm glow to it.Your terrain work looks great, but what I like most is the colour in this-the saturation is wonderful and the contrast between the ochres and the blue of the distant terrain adds a pop of life to image...well done!
