Isn't this an interesting variety of dogwood? I took this at Wight's Nursery last Spring.

Superlative POV, clarity, colors, contrast, lighting effects and textures in this fine macro, dear lady! The pistil resembles some kind of berry. If you pinch the pistil the flower will emit a sharp bark....and was it from a plant like this where the name "Dagwood Bumstead" originated?

This is a really beautiful composition. The simple lines of these flowers create a great geometry and perspective in this photograph. Excellent!
