Description
Another reminder of the many lives and fascinating life stories sealed in the passages of time, never to be recalled again.
This is the final resting place for Battista Zoanni, who was born in Belle Lombardia, Italy, in 1835, then at some point migrated around the world to Memphis, Tennessee, and died here in 1878 at the age of 43.
That's the only information the tombstone reveals of what must have been an eventful life, although probably cut short by the devastating yellow fever epidemic in this area back in the mid 1870's.
This was taken last month at Calvary Cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee.

A fitting capture for a life unknown to us, but hopefully valued by his family and friends. Thanks for bringing back to life, if only for a moment, this person, who was someone's son, husband and father. Excellent photography.
