My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow, your narrative was great, and then I read your poem, and am speechless. I am lost in all of it, the image and your words.

I'm just lost... Last I knew I was searching for a laden English Sparrow. I love the textured effect on this one; of course it doesn't hurt to have started with such a beautiful photo.

Beautiful flower...

wow, the texture gives it a bit of "fabric" feel, as if you wove the picture out of a rough silk; but it also feels like Georgia O'Keeffe (which, for flowers, is a great compliment---O'Keeffe proved for once and for all that flowers weren't just 'precious', but had the cosmos in them). At times, it even appears brittle, like it were made out of crepe or something like it. A flower of many personalities. Lovely & mysterious.
