Description
Going to take you on a little tour of Tennessee, no plane tickets,no checking through luggage for 3 ounce bottles of shampoos, or being made to throw out your water bottle because it might be a potentially dangerous item, and no $3.19 a gallon for gas (price here today) .. just some good walking shoes.. LOL ..
This is a restaurant in Chattanooga called the Pickle Barrel, cute place, inside there is a spiral stair case that leads up to the second level and is a nice place to sit and dine, and take in the scenery.
HISTORY:
Constructed in 1893 as administrative offices for Southern Railway, this building was known as the Southern Express Company Building for many years, until it was converted to a hotel and renamed the Plaza Hotel. Currently housing the Pickle Barrel restaurant, the building’s triangular shape is accentuated by traditional features of Victorian commercial architecture, such as cast iron columns, stone lintels, decorative brickwork and a bracketed and projecting cornice.

Probably a guilt offering for all the cattle that died on the tracks struck by a cow ketcher. Open range in Tennessee. A worry of all restaurant patrons.

I am very much looking forward to this guided tour of Tennessee, you haven't done bad for starters, I wish our gas was as cheap as yours, ours has risen to over £5.00 GBP per gallon, that is in excess of $9.96 USD per gallon. Petrol aside this is a wonderful pov, those white flowered trees and that rich blue sky add to the beauty of the building, I love those top floor windows. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Great capture and colours here! I look forward to your tour of Tennessee! I wish the petrol here in Britain was as cheap as in the US - as Jeff says above, it's more than three times more expensive! Can you believe that?!
