Description

Being as spring is in the air, I thought it would be nice to add a few pics of kittens and pups for a while, to celebrate the miracle of new life. This is the one that I love the most, of a very young kitten aged just 9 days. I look at her sweet little body in wonderment to see the precious miracle she is. At this age she is so vulnerable, relying on her mother for warmth and food, and her breeder to take good care of her and make sure she finds the best of loving homes as she grows up. She was bred by my friend Marilyn and is a beautiful blue silver tabby British Shorthair. We hear of so many poor cats and kittens who are treated so badly in their short lives, how could anyone be so cruel? This I will never know, especially when I gaze upon such tenderness, and embrace the very gift of life. I have never understood those who would hurt a baby such as this. My dear Kiki wasn't perfect enough for her breeder. She had been bred to create longhaired Manx (half Manx and Persian). Her breeder wasn't experienced enough to realize the tails are crooked in the first few generations, so had decided she was going to drown the whole litter at 5 weeks. My dear friend was able to only save my Kiki and bring her to me. Every one of my pets came from rescues of some sort. They have all been the best friends. This is an adorable little baby. I wish her a good life with a good person to love her. Bunny

Jane my friend this image captures true innocence so perfectly as do your words about how can people be cruel to animals. Inside each dog and cat are those kitties and puppies who are only craving love and affection.
