Description

This latest lava flow has brought in many visitors to this Island. A long line of cars and people awaits their turn to see the lava flow. The viewing area controlled by civil defense is a little to far away from the lava flow for me. I like it right up and close to the flow such as this little river. Aloha and thank you for viewing Zoom in to feel the heat...........

I'm always surprised by the plant life so close by, they seem to hang on until the last minute! excellent image Errol!!! Nice to see it without all the tourists! Aloha...

I'd be right there with you, my friend. I know there must be a lot of tourists there, because just for grins I started pricing a trip today. I was looking about two weeks out and there were no rental cars available!! I love the ferns in the foreground. I'm amazed at how fast life gets restarted on the old flows.
