Description

This is a wild orchid that seeded itself in a hanging basket at the back of my home. The plant is a protected species in UK. I am not allowed to move it. It blooms every year and is my pride and my joy. So much is happened in our lives at the moment, David's contract for work in London has not been renewed. I am so happy he will now be home with me, for a while at least. I thank you for looking and for treasured comments. Have a beautiful weekend. Hugs. Diane.

Never seen a Orchid that greww on a stack like this one. Maybe that is why it is protected and special. And it pick a very special person to grow for:))) A lovely photo of it your share with us. Roby is gonna love this one. This should be in a book on Botany, or at least a guide to plant growing. Natural seeding is an amazing process. I can't even get grass to grow when I seed it myself.

Beautiful. It looks like Dactylorhiza incarnata, Early Marsh Orchid. Your plant is apparently protected by more than just statute, judging by the gossamer.
