Description

Our hosts (Alix Schwartz and Alan Wolf) for the Peace Vigil 2008 held in Berkeley had come up with the concept of combining the Peace Sign with the traditional processional labyrinth, where the path you take leads in and out again without having to double back and run over your neighbors. Alan Wolf's design is elegant, and I'm sorry that I couldn't get a top-down view from one of the taller buildings. This image is combined from 3 shots, looking west towards what I *think* is City Hall. Volunteers are adding candles to the luminaria (sacks with gravel for steadiness)... almost ready. The next image in my gallery shows the effect after dark, with candle-bearers walking through the labyrinth, but this is a somewhat better view of the path itself.
