Description

When I found this guy at Lake Tahoe, of course I went crazy with my camera!! He was very patient, moving only to get a better look at ME, but I was careful not to really invade HIS space. After all, it was I who was the visitor!! But, I do love his expression here~~he'd been very accommodating, but this might have been his last nerve I was hitting!!

This is fabulous! Getting the full face and all that detail! Notice the placement of the eyes? More to the front of the face then on the sides like other types of birds. When they fly looking for food, they can see below them better this way. Great shot.

I say it again you are one lucky person, to be privileged like this, I tell you, I'd be on the floor a quivering wreck from adrenelin overdose. lol. Superb capture Marilyin, he is starting to look a trifle piqued though, just about time to do some back peddling I think. It has got me thinking, is it a young bird, has it got lost, did you see any rings on its legs, has it just fed or is it starving? I don't expect answers but just so you see my thought proccess. All sorts of things running through my head(there's plenty of space for them to run), fantastic photo op you don't get many like this in a lifetime. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

Oh, yes! The expression on his face is kind of saying, "You've been warned, my dear!" lol Great macro capture, Marilyn.

Can't you read! The sign says no trespassing! You're violating my territorial imperative! No mistaking the darts being stared your way by the magnificent raptor, Marilyn! Love the POV and textured plumage in this shot!

Fantastic capture, Marilyn. I love the look in those piercing eyes. I think you were blessed that day, and look at the result.
