Description

Andrea posted a wonderful collage the other day of pine cones, from birth to death.  It reminded me that I had taken this series of shots of garlic last summer, and never done anything with them!  If I remember correctly, these shots were taken of two different plants.  I couldn't tell you now, though, which was which.  I was over at Ann's place a lot last year, taking pictures of her pretty flowers, and kept snapping the garlic every time I went out there. Full view is probably worth your time on this one.

Superb,Tara!! Even though I HATE garlic in food and don't allow it in the house, the allium family do have lovely flowers! A wonderful piece of work.

I don't do garlic Tara, neither does my wife Pauline, our daughter though loves it and because we love her we put up with the smell. I have just shown these to Pauline without the title, she could not believe how a plant that looks so beautiful could have that sickening smell. Superb collage, but I'm glad its not smell o'vision. Bravo!!!!!

What a fascinating series and compilation! One of the most prolific and beautiful plants Mother Nature provides. They are just gorgeous and what a creative presentation.

This is great~ I was so sure you were going to end up showing a big pot of spaghetti, but that's just my twisted mind!! I grow garlic every year, plant it on my birthday in October and harvest about June, I'm NEVER without it!! These flowers are what happens when you don't pull up the bulbs; I never see them as I pull it up before that, thanks for showing this amazing sight!!

I love garlic, in moderation, but have never seen it grown or bloom so this was fascinating to me. A wonderful, and informative, collage.
