Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Punaguy
Wow this bad boy is really smokin' along! No time for the slow shutter speed at this distance...nice shot regardless! Aloha!
Cosine
Wow, this really is moving right along. I wouldn't want to get trapped between branches. Be careful out there, my friend.

Ahem, you better not try messing with Madame Pele too much. You know she doesn't take to that kind of stuff. Glad you got a chance to snap some shots before she chases you away. Too hot to trot..... This is one of the rare places on earth where people actually run to see the eruptions and not run away from it. Just hope it stays where it is. Aloha and great shots.

I understand what you were trying for but I can imagine that standing there was very hot an scary - no chance of being able to set up a tripod and stand there long enough to get the desired effect! It is still a remarkable glow and fiercely strong colours that you have captured here Errol! I like it!

Incredible capture Errol!! Like the entire land is a flame. I would not be standing there... Aloha. Diane.

Ouch, I can feel the heat on the bottom of my soles already! This looks like the macro of a melted chocolate ice cream sundae. I think I know what you were trying to achieve with your shutter speed, and I think it came out pretty good.
jocko500
