I'm commenting on pieces at random here, since your gallery is so rich. I hope to comment on more later, but I'm laying words down as images strike me, and this strikes me intensely! WOW! WOW! WOW! This is probably unrelated in obvious ways, but this image reminds me of an ancient Egyptian creation story. The ancient Egyptian god Re (often called Ra in the "West") was the first of the self-created gods...and though his act of self creation didn't physically resemble this, I think the same emotional intensity is there...that balance between light and dark with the light, most prominently expressed through, of all things, flesh. It doesn't really matter what the skin tone is...darker flesh would still stand out as it possess that fleshy "sheen" you've captured so well here. Amazing details...wonderful emotional intensity and profound, sensual elegance. I've noticed that sensual elegance in your work...I think its what unifies your pieces, whether the subject is human or something as inhuman as a selectively yellow cab in an otherwise monochrome environment. You're keenly aware of that elegant intensity and the combination of tension and release that work so well in your art.
