Description

Hi - thanks for stopping in. Inspiration has been a bit sparse of late, but that doesn't stop me from doodling. I'd been eyeing Anders "Bazze" Lejczak's awesome planes for a while, whilst they were available here on RMP, and even bought one. I was thrilled when he decided to release them for free. So here are a couple of Corsairs flying formation over a tiny island in the Pacific.. nothing too fancy - no story, no combat, just a lovely aviation illustration. The sort of thing one might expect to find on the box of a 1/48 scale styrene kit. Vue6i render, some postwork in Photoshop. Bazze's Corsair, with a slightly modified texture. Island terrain was constructed with Chipp Walter's 'Terrapack' materials and I believe that the water is one of Monsoon's materials from 'SeaVue' (both excellent products) As always, your input is valued and appreciated. Thanks once again to everyone who has left comments and advice, and especially to Bazz for making the planes available to play with.

I love this, simple and direct, the planes look just right. I like the way you did the prop blur with the sky un-blurred behind.

Simply beautiful conversion and idea! It is always beautifully the looking at which other artists at art creating! Man cannot write to natural one hundred times mad light, mad float, mad texture and clothes however it became statements that the picture still more is! It is art of humans creating the acknowledgment for the time and conversion of its work manufactures!!! Working on for hours of a picture and often times functions it not as one it would like the Prokrame their own will there to have!!!!! : -) : -) : -) : -) : -) : -) I am inspired and thank you for this beautiful picture!!! And write times something long to ren text because that is simply also times beautiful for reading! : -) : -) : -) Greeting Rocksy

I know next to nothing about Vue, aside from the fact that in the right hands it is capable of some amazing scenes. Apparently, you are "the right hands" as this is beautiful work. Is Vue capable of creating skies like that? Or do you have to use a backdrop or skydome?

Excellent scene! Very nice job getting the blur of those props! Perhaps a bit of exhaust smoke could round things out? The environment is fantastic!
