morning all :o) i remembered i had this after your teeth pic yesterday andrea :o)..slight crop on the left taking a bit more arm out of the feeder to get the effect .the length of the giraffe`s tongue is quite amazing .they were feeding them various veg and fruit . have a great day and thanks as always for looking :o) mick

Great stuff Mick. This has got me thinking now, the giraffe is going for the garlic(it looks like that to me as well Andrea), yet there seems to be saliva dripping from the garlic, as though it has touched it and drawn back. Excellent close up Mick, showing some great detail, right down to the fine hair on the top of the snout. Interesting and intriguing shot. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

they have to be long to reach high in the trees.here at the zoo they lick off the paint on the steel poles in their enclosure.they paint with a none toxic paint so it will not harm the giraffes
