Description

morning all :o) something different today .whilst in blackpool we a visited a museum called ripleys .there are 64 attractions in 11 countries so i dare say someone else has been to see these oddities that are showcased .i actually found the place very interesting and we spent well over an hour in here even though its quite small .the shot was taken through glass and did`nt turn out to bad :o).. the sign reads the two headed calf Robert Ripley relished collecting what he called "pranks of nature".once considered an omen of disaster .most animals born with 2 heads or multiple limbs ,are stillborn or like this one die within a few hors after birth. an autopsy of this calf born in california in 1970 revealed that each head had a normal trachea and esophagus ,but they each led to only one lung. believe it or not ! i have`nt covered this as ashleigh was`nt upset by any of the things in here and i`ve judged on that . have a good day and thanks for looking and your continued support mick

Excellent and very interesting shot and informations, Mick. Is Ripley a museum or a chamber of horrors?

Interesting! I'm just glad it isn't a live show. Humans are an odd species, aren't we?!

I used to watch Ripley's Believe it or Not on TV, the chap out of Red Dwarf, Craig ????? used to front it. Loads of bizzare things they used to show, I have seen the one in Blackpool Mick but have never been inside. Ashleigh commented on one of mine the other day and mentioned that Grandad told her not to look at the ones with warnings. Good girl that. Excellent capture Mick, especially through glass, I actually read the info on the plaque before reading your text. Bravo!!!!!

We have a Ripley's Museum in San Francisco that we have visited. Lots of bizarre things in there. Nature generally allows such creatures to pass on mercifully. Mankind is the one who tries to keep them alive.
