Here I Go Again
Yes, I'll be on the move yet again
This time I'm really goin a ways
Off to the opposite side
Of this big country
To see my great and good friend
She and I used to work together
Live together laugh together
But it's been a very long time
Since we did any of those things
Life just got in the way
So now after all these years
We get to do it again
Her kids grew up and have their lives
My son grew up and has his life
And now it's our turn
Our turn to laugh again
Live together again
If only for a short time
But that's fine cuz
We'll make the most of our time
So off I go on this next adventure
To this new place to see an old friend
Have new experiences
See a whole new world
And best of all
To see her and rekindle that
Precious thing called friendship
And maybe have a few surprises on the way

To trip the sky fantastic. I wonder how much you would be enamored by the idea of air travel if you had to battle the traffic, park, stand in line, and take off and land at LAX. That said, have a nice series of hearty laughs during your trip, Marilyn.

Warm get-togethers, I love those! I'm heading for one myself, though it'll take a wee bit longer (with a lot more visa-related red tape to go through) but I'm on my way, and I can't help but think of THAT after reading your words.
