Description

I'm on the road again (hmm, nice title for a song!), this time heading to Atlanta, Georgia. Lot of pix from there soon, but in the meantime, I found this one I took on one of my river walks. Just an old, lost, dirty, dried up, lost shoe, but somehow it spoke to me (must not have lost its tongue, oh, geez, I am losing it!!) and here you have it!!

Nicely handled. A yesteryear feel to the photograph ... which give it a story. Is that a story to boot?:0) Sorry, couldn't help myself there. Very thoughtful photograph. Like it alot.

And there is a sort of dance style called 'soft shoe.' No, I'm not old enough to remember when it was popular...lol This capture is truly a color stunner.

I like the bright contrasting colors, lighting and textures in this shot, Marilyn! Apparently the owner of that old soft shoe was the tasty appetizer for some sort of predatory creature that came leaping out of the river to snatch the poor unsuspecting soul. And, it's been close to a million years since I visited Atlanta, GA.

Ooh, brilliant color, wonderful postwork! I've missed seeing your posts, but ah...I'm back. This is an incredibly touching capture in many ways, and it kinda reminds me of those old, mythic stories in which a hero (heroine) goes wandering into a village with only one shoe. Apparently the one shoe'd hero is incredibly archetypical, and in a sense it's fitting as you posted this image just before the start of your own journey. It's wonderful how that work!
