Description
Even the Home Guard had to pay road tax of £13 2s 6d, which was a huge ammount then. The cost now is dependent on the size of Engine, to tax mine would cost £185.00, my daughter's car which is a smaller engine costs £120.00. We also pay high tax on petrol as well, at the moment that is over £5.00 per gallon or roughly $10.00 US.
Please zoom for fuller detail, sorry about the flare on the Tax Disc.

You have given this some impressive treatment Jeff, they just get better! I see you have been using the "plug-in" to get that colour you were talking to me about, a lot warmer than the sepia I use in PSE5. Outstanding postwork and nice piece of information to go along side it.

Well, may I say, I'm flabbergasted. We pay one of the highest gasoline taxes in the US and I can hardly afford gas at $3.50 a gallon! And it is not nearly so expensive to register my car each year...just about $90. But oh, this is a gorgeous car! nice capture!

A wonderful image of this car I had never heard of before Jeff. Looks like many others of that period. But it also looks a little like an old London cabby from the 70s, at least from the rear, Sig.....e
