Description

Here's another shot from my day at the beach with Randy. I took this while standing under the Edmonds Oil Dock. For those of you who aren't familiar with views like this, the dark green line that goes across all the pilings, the one that's just above my eye level, is the high water mark. We were there at low tide. If you want to hang out at the beach around here, you really need to check a tide chart! Low tide that day was at 11:45 am, and this was probably taken at about noon. That's partly why the light is so harsh. It was also totally clouded over by that time. Hey - at least it wasn't raining! ..... I went to dinner tonight with two of my nieces. What fun we had! :) (That's what I was doing this evening instead of commenting on your beautiful photographs!)

This is a fantastic image! VERY dramatic and full of visual excitement. The textures and light are fantastic, as is the sense of natural wear. The high tide mark is impressively high as well. In short this is a gorgeous image on so many different levels. Great work.

the textures rule... and i kinda like that the sky is washed out - it lends a loneliness kind of feel to the scene and gives it mood where otherwise there might not be any...
