Description
Could some be offspring of a Mallard/Black paired with an American Black Duck.as Pop said it maybe never known since the fable of Las Vegas"what happens in Las Vegas stays there"
I took this in a Aliana park in Las Vegas.I assumed it was a he and was friendly.I walked right up to it.

Maybe a "Malloose" heehee....yep, kinda looks like there's been some hanky panky goin' on in the flock because this sure looks like a hybrid ...good one Richard ! ~ Hugs ~

It's a peacock mallard;-) What lovely feathers--I don't think I have ever seen a mallard with the green feathers so far down before!
MrsLubner
Nice close up! Really grabs the feathers well. Ducks often get mixed up in colors because of natural mixed breeding. The color of a mallard's beak often varies in color, widely, and sometimes feathers are altered. Great shot.

A fantastic portrait of this male Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). No goose has got green feathers. Lovely taken!!!

Well Richard you got me working this morning as I have went to galleries featuring both and after looking for a long time I gotta go with Mallard due to as stated above the green feathers. Great job on this one and fun for everyone to figure it out.

I think maybe a bit of cross breeding here Richard, but I don't know what with, most definitely some duck in there. Beautiful iridescent green, as others have said I have never seen it go so low down before, the beak also looks a bit of a mix. Excellent capture though, whatever it is. Bravo!!!!!
