Description
This little fellow is called a Steenbok (bok=buck). I shot this image in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. They are a very small species of buck found widely in Southern Africa and extremely skittish! To get close to them is almost impossible. I was extremely lucky to get the 'pose' from this guy! He ran off at warp speed mili-seconds after I took this image. It was taken with on an approx 400mm zoom and was scanned from color negative.

this is brilliant, so much expression in this image - it looks kinda like he's smiling at you as if to say "I'm about to bolt, and you ain't gonna catch me =)" you caught him right in the moment of 'fight or flight', very nice work
