Description

Old fence posts strung with wire define the property boundaries and various land uses of Western ranches in this landscape view. After a passing mid-day rain, water puddles still glisten on the ground while the sunlight tries to peek thru the thick layer of passing storm clouds. Many years worth of over-turned and dead trees lie scattered about in this fenced off area of the land. Arranging the 3 surface plane layers so that the ground, grass and water areas would show thru one upon another was the most challenging task of creating this image. Well your terrain work has certainly paid off Keith, this is a wonderful image. I love the addition of the fencing and the overall scene is wonderful. This is even better in full-view. A fav for sure. Tony :-)

Yes, I'm with Tanglimara, if you open in full-view improve the realism and the sense of fusion between vegetation and background, nice one!!

This render is so photographic one would never have known its was created in Bryce. The 'part fusions' of the terrains to get the various surfaces to show through like that is masterly!

You have captured the sense of wet fields and rotting old trees very well. I like the inclusion of the fence, which suggests that this land was worth something once, but has now, maybe suffered a little from neglect... maybe too susceptible to getting water-logged.

Yep, this really does look amazingly like the real thing, Keith! The light in this is perfect, and the whole image really does give you the actual feel of what it's like to be somewhere right after a really bad storm has come through! Great job!
