Description

Paronella Park..One Mans Dream... The concrete slab tables forming the lower Tea Gardens and the swimming pool both proved extremely popular, as they still do today. The avenues and paths were well laid out with the familiar shaped planters which are still to be seen wherever you go in the Park. Two tennis courts were behind the Refreshment Rooms, with a children's playground, The Meadow, situated near the creek. I used to play here when I was little whenever we travelled, it was a good rest stop place and still is. But everytime I see these tables which are covered with thick green moss now, I always imagine ladies in their fine white lace gowns with parasols and gentlemen all dressed up canoeing on the creek or sipping tea. I think Jose' filled this place with love and passion when he built it, as when you walk through this magical place it transforms to what it used to be and takes you back there.

Absolutely fantastic series Sue, I know I gave you a nudge with your other sceme, well think about this one. This would make a belting little postcard booklet, local interest stuff goes a bomb. If you have six or eight images you have enough for a booklet. Think on it! Excellent capture, one I would be proud of. Bravo!!!!!

This must be a wonderful place! What happens there today? Is it a ruin or are there some new plans and ideas? Very well done in sepia, works great!
