Description

[best viewed full sized] Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant, North Wales This is another shot of the Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall area, taken just below the river feed from the waterfall itself. With a 240ft drop this is the highest waterfall in Wales. The colours in the water are natural, caused by its high mineral content which is slightly more concentrated in the Spring. Postwork includes a slight alteration of levels and saturation, as well as a little dodge and burn and a sharpen mask on everything except the water. I particularly like the colours in this one Carl, with the lovely greens of the mosses and surrounding foliage against the blue and yellow hues captured in the water - you have really caught the atmosphere of the area and the motion of the water is fantastic. You really know how to bring a photograph to life and present a true representation of the actual scene encountered. I love this one hun. Chrissy xox
