A new Northwesterner, transplanted from the East into the wonderful dark forests of Washington-- very far from where I started.
Graphics wise, I enjoy playing with just about everything. I've used all sorts of applications, and have favorite bits of each. Bryce, 3DS, Lightwave, DS, Poser, Painter and a bunch of others all have a place in my heart, head, and hard drive. They're all the work of brilliant, creative people, and I enjoy them, sort of the way some woodworkers collect tools.
Son's off to college, company's been sold, so I play in the mountains or on the machine as I figure out what comes next.

Very dark and visualy stunning piece. Nice colors and lighting choices. Really dig the almost silhouette style to this.

Superbe effet de lumière. Belle image.

you got some wicked light effects going on around his face - cool.

I think the gradient from right to left works quite well here, less it more as they say. If this were a comic panel, that would be the perfect place for some text...

maybe just moving the camera a bit so focal point is a little to the right and down? just to do away with a bit of the dark area. It would cause a bit more eye movement in my opinion. cool image otherwise lighting is groovy!

awesome image.....! you could possibly give this more depth by adding a subtle, forground object, in that bottom right darkness.

This will do for a comic book style. Remember any space that you may consider as "Blah" are places to place a dialogue bubble. As for this render, like the shadow and light. Love the work you did with the glowing eyes. This reminds me of Lord of the Rings 'Balrog" scene from the books... Great Job
