Description

Another image of a spoonbill. This time the lazy bird was snoozing and would not move its beak out of its feathers. I shot it anyways as I did like its position. But when I got it home it was hard to do something with it except as a record shot. After some playing about I decided to crop right in and get as close as I can. I tried a selective coloring job as well but didnt like it myself. So I left it like this xxx

I think it works well, the tight crop makes an unusual image. You have exposed well to keep such fine detail. White feathered birds are the hardest to expose correctly in full sun. So the dull days are best for these subjects.
