Description

This is the back door to the house on Tybee Island**, Georgia that I'm going to live in!! It does need a little work, as you can tell, but what a place it is~~old, weather worn, but with stories to tell and more to come. I'll show you the front door later!! click here

I really like this image. I'm not sure about the growth in the upper right. It takes my eye away from the door which is really the center of interest. Maybe another viewpoint featuring the door and window?? And you really have your work cut out for you...take lots of pictures before you clean it up.

It looks like my kind of place. It doesn't look rotted and you don't have to worry about the foundation. All you need is a new screendoor.

I love the way the plants refuse to be constricted in their growth. A lesson for all of us, I think! Mike

This is an awesome picture! I love the unexpected juxtaposition of plants and architecture! Brilliant sense of color as well! In short, gorgeous work, and yeah, with a wee bit of work, I'm sure this house can be made into an exquisite and comfortable home! Fantastic image and yeah, I'm looking forward to more.

I love this place! Can I come and help fix it up? Love that door and would leave it intact. So much character in the house. Maybe there are ghosts living there. Wonderful capture, Marilyn.

Is that what you call an indoor plant? Doesn't look like it needs much doing Marilyn, a new bit of screen on the door, doesn't need an whole new door, just patch that one up, a lick of wood preservative and your away gal, I'll come and stay over and give you a hand. I'm pretty good at opening paint tins and passing brushes. Excellent capture, can't wait for the front door. Bravo!!!!!

You mean, Marilyn, to say you intend to live there? What happened to the idyllic life you led in the great northwest, among the fir trees and cold rain? Strange, I thought all structures like this had been destroyed during Sherman's march through Georgia, in the latter days of the Civil War. Anyway, great amber shades of color, mood lighting and textures in this rustic capture, young lady.

Well dang, Marilyn, now you're gonna have to go back and buy that place! Everyone here thinks you were serious! This is a wonderful image - so full of character. I can feel the sand in my sneakers, just looking at this!
