Looks like your shadow got there first though, lol. It sound as though it was an exciting time for you Marilyn, I wonder if you went back to your childhood, to the very first time you saw the sea. I can't remember when I first saw it, but even now when I go to the seaside I still get excited, I still try and be the first to see it. One thing I do remember is when going to Blackpool by coach we were told the first one to see the Tower would get sixpence to spend, guess who got sixpence.lol. Excellent capture, you still look to have a distance to go, it looks like a long sandy path over the bridge, I wonder what the structure is on the left, some sort of gazebo? Bravo!!!!!

That looks wrong! LOL! Clearly afternoon sun, but your shadow is pointing toward the beach! My West Coast brain just can't get around that. Great shot - I love the walkway and all the grass. Very cool!

Odd, where have I seen this parallel shadow/perspective concept used before? Hmmmm, let me think.... But while I'm doing all that speculating, I'll mention that this shot contains the right POV, DOF, clarity, colors, and lighting effects to make this a wonderful capture, Marilyn!

This is a great capture, and it looks like it was fun to take! The sense of color here is top notch, as always! You have this eye for color and it shows. I love the added touch of your own shadow in the image as well! It adds a human touch to the image, and yeah, it's just cool to look at! The way the ocean is wedged into a small space is fantastic, it's a nice different shade of blue, bordered by the rich gold tones and the paler sky! This is gorgeous, Marilyn!
