Things I Know (And Some I Don’t) I know how to live How to love I know how to give And how to take I’m leaning how to trust And how to care And how to just Believe in myself The road to all these Wonderful paths Has been long And sometimes painful But along that same path Has been a world Of so much So many truly good things It’s a matter of Sorting them all out Sifting through the sands And keeping the good I don’t know where I’ll be Or what I’ll be doing All the time every day But I do know this It will be the way I need to live The way I want to live The way life takes me So what have I learned What DO I know I am loved I love I am cared for I care I am given life I live And I want to shout it out And tell the world 4/19/08

It's funny! I was listening to Bjork just before reading/seeing this and I could almost imagine her belting out "It will be the way/I need to live/the way I want to live" and well...I can't say your words are inexorably linked to hers, but there's that common, strong theme! Fantastic work, beautifully stated, as always!

There is so much that people could learn from your prose Marilyn. Reading it brought forth this. There’s not enough trust and too few believers. There are to many takers and not enough givers, Some take too much because they are greedy, There are too few carers to succour the needy. I hope you don't mind me posting it here, I am not normally a poetic person but on reading yours this just popped into my head and I had to write it down. Am I being too cynical in my thoughts? Your writings seem much softer and loving than my harsh verse. Excellent prose and image. Bravo!!!!!
