Hi, I'm Marilyn. ĆĀ I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. ĆĀ It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. ĆĀ I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. ĆĀ Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. ĆĀ Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! ĆĀ Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. ĆĀ You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. ĆĀ Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Nothing misleading in your statement. I got it :-) I think its more my style though so maybe I'll move in and you can come and visit... Great shot with the warm evening light reaching out to touch the side of the house.

I can't blame you for dreaming out loud Marilyn, I am doing the same right about now, this image has a dreamlike quality to it. So warm and cosy looking, the browns and greens, the subdued orange of the late afternoon sun. It makes you want to rip off those boards to let the sunlight into the house, to put panes in the window frames, to give it a lick of preservative. To breath life back into it, to make it as cosy on the inside as it looks on the outside. I have a pry bar to lift off those covers, are you ready for it? Excellent capture, fired me up somewhat. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Nothing wrong with dreaming out loud, Marilyn. Many times our dreams become reality, you never know...someday, it may be your's to restore and enjoy. This is a great capture with the sun shining on those shrubs and old boards.

This is an amazingly beautiful shot, very dreamy in many ways with an excellent sense of warm and lively color! I can see life in this house and it's no wonder that you'd be so drawn to it. I'm drawn as well, especially in the way that you present it here! Fantastic work!

Nice warm shades of sepia-like colors in this fine foto of your dream house, which is in dire need of a fresh coat of paint or lacquer and new doors. I notice the residence is built on stilts.
