Description
Another visitor to the 40's weekend was this little car, not exactley 1940's but endearing all the same. I do know that a car similar to this one appeared in a series of Doctor Who, I can't remember which Doctor Who drove it nor can I verify that this was indeed that car. Like I said it was sort of endearing and worth a shot or two. So here you have it.
I think this will be the last from the Tramway Museum(thank God, I hear the cry) for this series anyhow, but I may return to the Museum later in the year as they do have other weekends when they do different things. They do the 50's a Classic Ford, a Voltswagon, and a mini weekend as well just to name a few. Whatch this space.
Please zoom for more detail.
Thanks for stopping by for a look and for any comments you care to make.
May the sun shine down on you, where ever you are.

Your fine shot has me fascinated by the tires. Strange, huh, but I find them really interesting. The whole auto is so fun looking. I can imagine what it must have been like to own such a car back in the time when it was new. :-)

Fantastic collage Jeff, i didn't realise you took so many from all angles of this beauty, although I looked through my shots and I think I have almost as many lol. I'm led to believe this was the very vehicle that was in the TV series(Dr.Who). I think a friend said it was called Bessie in the series! perhaps someone else might confirm that. Its been an exceptional series from you too Jeff, you have put a lot of work into these and it has paid off! Nice one, Where next lol!

Wonderful shots, and a great collage! You've prompted me to read up on Dr. Who on Wikipedia, although I'm sure reading about the show doesn't do it any sort of justice. Nonetheless, I am now slightly better informed! :)

if we have a car that does not have a working heater we usually feel that an unnecessary hardship is on our shoulders.thinking of the open cars of yesterday, we have it easy.I remember that not many cars had air conditioners when I was young, simply because most people could not afford them. I had a 50' Chevrolet that was very slow to warm up in the winter for heat. by the time I got to work it was warm.I would roll down the window to get a blast of frigid air to appreciate having the windows shut.during the summer I knew it was hot driving but it did not bother me too much until I had my first car with ac in 1969 your captures are outstanding and an excellent collage

A wonderful collage of this British Classic Jeff. It is one reason I like to watch British series TV. The historical representation of the scenes, using historical backdrops, classic cars and other genuine scenes makes it a pleasure to watch!
