Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Vertigo!!! Putting you foot in there allowed me to orient myself to what I was looking at. There are two different ways of seeing this if your foot weren't there. Wonderful composition for this interesting location.

I hate climbing stairs, because I know I've got to go back down again after, going up isn't too bad but coming down is murder. Excellent capture Marilyn, like Tim says, a lot of people have done this type of shot, but you've made it personal, cause there's only one with your foot in it. That would make an alternative title, 'You've put your foot in it'. Lol. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!
Thelby
Looks like a good place to drop a water balloon on someone unsuspecting victim, TEhehehe, Bwhahahahaha !!!!!

Interesting capture, Marilyn. I know it is a stairwell, but it could also be a series of doorways, as well.

I love this capture; you've turned it into something unique and quite colorful. Your foot, right there in a green sandal with red toenail polish adds so much to this image! The regularity of the stairwell is fantastic, but the additional touch makes this alive! Great work! The contrast of the green sandal is what brought a smile to my face! I love this image!

Oh no. Other than being an excellent and very unique photo, this does absolutely nothing for my acrophobia, Marilyn. In fact, I'm getting wild swings of vertigo just staring at it. That said, stellar geometry and perspective on display in this shot of the dark abyss.

Cool Marylin and the foot gives it pizazz
