Description

STORM Whether through folly, mischief or sheer want of care I have thrown grit in the eye of this gathering storm. Note the urgent surge and swirl of malevolent clouds burst across a vile weathered moonlight leached and loveless in the heart-heavy air Beneath the twisted trees braced and bolstered for the blast in times of torture hide and tell no tales of every day and always and never. I am unsure if I am the malignant maker of this tempest squatting in the skies or a mere mute victim to be caught tossed and borne aloft in the terror. I will not vainly mine my memories for meanings amidst the maelstrom instead confine this torment tight and trapped within the trash-can of tawdry dreams.

Beautiful image and presentation, Mike. Your words are so descriptive of everything about an approaching storm, be it weather, or the personal ones that everyone encounters in life. So well done.

You have such a way of putting the simplest things into beautiful words, and then you add the perfect image to go with it~~and it's always exactly right!!

A great reflection of tumultuous. In the reading, I wrapped my tongue around your excellent use of alliteration, savouring every sangorous second of it. As always, a wonderful job my friend. I love the artwork too.

Mike, Perhaps you are a bit of both. The malignant maker and the mute victim. Your prose touched my heart and made me cry. Lea

The grit was coal dust and the wind should have used it to make energy instead of blowing it as cinder back into the eye.

in times of torture hide and tell no tales of every day and always and never. My favorite line. Ride that storm like a wild mare, and terror be damned! I have looked into the abyss, and it isn't near as frightening as it once was.
