Description
This was shot a couple of days ago at Wintersmith Park, I try to get away from work everyday to walk. The park has a 1 mile path around the lake or you can walk the south side path along with the lake walk and get in a mile and a half. I found this Green Heron on the waters edge searching for food, they're summer resident of the park. I saw one last year from across the water not close enough to get a good shot. Tuesday I found two and was able to get pretty close, they're a very interesting and funny bird to watch. I think they had just made it back to Oklahoma so their focus was more on food than on me. Thanks for your views and your comments have a great weekend!!!

Excellent shot and great explanations !

Very nice capture. I see these occasionally at my pond but always too far away for a shot. They fly to the tree tops as soon as I get anywhere near (they are not graceful in trees, lol). Lee
