Description

I saw an image that someone placed earlier today of the World Trade Centre towers which encouraged me to place this image I took of the Brooklyn Bridge [connecting the suburb of Brooklyn with Manhattan, NYC] some three years ago. It was late afternoon in March and I was on a boat on the East River. No color manipulation has been done to this picture and it was scanned from color negative. This is the true color of the bridge bathed in the setting sunlight that I saw on this glorious day. This, for me, was certainly one of those 'wow' moments in life. Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Carin xx

outstanding photo color is fantastic. i just posted a shot of the world trade towers and red sall boat yesterday. i think the brooklyn bridge is a key photo that can go hand and hand with the towers. i can remember seeing people walking over the bridge on 911 and it was very moving to say the least.

Beautifully captured, I think sometimes we are so accustomed to our surroundings that we miss great moments like this. So its thru the eyes of someone like yourself that we see and appreciate the beauty. Thank You!!!

Great Image and color! The bridge usually looks grayer on most days. BUt, you caught it at the right time. I use to work in NYC on John Street. Almost every day I would walk to the South Street Seaport and have lunch on the pier with a terrific view of the Brooklyn Bridge.
