Description

4th largest island in the world, my island home.....Australia. Townsville Nth Queensland Australia, tropical all year round, a beach at every turn, is bordered by the Coral Sea and has the 3rd largest port in Queensland. Major exports are beef, copper, zinc, mineral ores, fertiliser, sugar, motor vehicles, to name a few, we import almost anything from all round the globe. Being a garrison town we also have visiting navy ships from around the world and apart from Darwin in the Northern Territory we are the stepping point to war zones for many of our soldiers and seamen. In the background of this photo you can see a huge container ship coming into port with the tugs waiting to meet him. I do believe, that we also boast the biggest magnetic crane used to unload such big cargo ships.

Sigh...such a gorgeous paradise...a fantastic compo. The ship really adds depth and a spot of interest on the horizon. Stellar shot.

The ships don't spoil this tropical paradise, they add depth to the shot. Is that the entrance to the harbour that we can see far right Sue? Excellent capture, is the sun going down or is it just rising. Either way it looks just fine. Bravo!!!!!
