Description

When I visited the Arlington Cemetary in Washington DC a couple of year ago, I was deeply touched by this - the grave of the unknown soldier. The incription on the tomb reads: HERE RESTS IN HONORED GLORY AN AMERICAN SOLDIER. KNOWN BUT TO GOD. I learned that there is a guard on duty 24 hours per day. I was priviledged enough to actually also see the changing of the guards. Thank you for stopping by. Hugs, Carin xx

Fantastic image. The selective coloring was a brilliant idea ... allows the photo to represent the brave soldiers of past and present. Bravo!

Fabulous image Carin! Splendid use of the isolated color! Interesting too, seeing my country thru someone else's eyes!

Powerful image and great presentation. The selective coloring adds quite an extra dimension here. The guard is a nice touch as well.
