Description

Knowle Hill - in between the towns of Bury and Rochdale, Lancashire, UK Out on a walk earlier today Tuesday. They are constructing a windfarm here after much local protests. 13 have been erected and last I read in a local newspaper they were to build 14 more, they reckon they can put up 2 every month if the weather doesn't hinder them. Sorry I don't have any info on how much power they will produce or how many homes it could supply. Here in the UK there are strong opinions about keeping the landscape as it is and issues about protecting birds and wildlife habitats etc. Well I could go along with the wildlife issues but to just say they are unsightly, I think they look great (just my opinion).
