Description

As promised yesterday here's the view from the end of the pier - a (hand held!) panorama of 8 or so photos. On the left where the two rock walls meet in a 'V' is from where I took the first image I posted, to the right is the view I posted yesterday looking towards the castle. To the left of the pier and in front of the houses lies the harbour and the leftmost tall tower you can see is St Rule's - from where I took the panorama of the town from up high. The beach running out of frame to the left is East Sands, where yesterday there were surfers braving the sea and donkey rides for kids along the beach. Incidentally for those who might be interested to know, today marks another bizarre St Andrews student tradition - that of the 'May Dip'. Students will either get up early or will still be up from the previous night out drinking and pile down to castle sands to get half-naked and jump into the freezing cold sea! I think I did it in my first year but as a finalist now am cursing the number of essays I have... speaking of which I'm off...! (bit sharper fullsized) Adam
