Reading My Own Words
As I read what
I’ve written
These last few months
And try to understand
What they all mean
I realize it’s been
Yet another road
Traveled
Another road
Taken
I’ve made choices
Taken chances
Been places I’ve never been
Met people I’d never seen
And it’s changed me
It’s opened my heart
My mind my soul
To so many wonders
So many new feelings
How can it be so good
Where ever I end up
Whatever happens
I’ve made the right choices
Taken the right roads
Done all the right things
And how sweet it is

I know precisely what you mean ... I wrote a similar piece some time ago: DON'T JUST SIT THERE Don't dwell Take a walk: a plain old inconsequential stroll. There comes a time in your meanderings when in the turning of an unremarkable corner you suddenly collide with yourself or lightly remark an event – an event without momentous meaning an event with no particular consequence which not-so-neatly spoons out a shocking destiny. It matters not that heroes turn their own wheels of fortune whilst ours seems seized and still. You cannot dismiss in any case as categorised coincidence or Fate. Too late another opportunity has sheared away another gift rejected another love lost. Mike
