A church steeple in Savannah, late afternoon. Seems like it's reaching for the sky~~~closer to heaven, I guess!!

That is exactly what steeples are supposed convey. When one thinks about the church building full of the faithful, you can see the representation of all being lifted to heaven. Wonderful capture of really fine architecture.

GREAT image! When I saw it, I immediately thought of the church steeple I used to see out of the kitchen window in the apartment where I lived in Dortmund. I love steeples, especially the slender, elegant ones like this one. THIS image is a fantastic one, and I agree that it's rich in atmosphere.
