Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

"Yes, it's like she teases us to just get close enough to touch...and wham!...she's got ya" She must be female, then ... JOKE, HONESTLY, JOKE!! Great picture, so clear. Mike

Beautiful colors and flower....I just love gardens....I can remember gardening with my Dad when I was a young girl...probably my love for gardening today stems from it.

Well there is red in there Marilyn, that is a sign for danger is it not? Then again lots of roses are red and they are not dangerous or are they? Excellent capture, I have heard of this flower but didn't know it was poisonous. Bravo!!!!!

Ooooh, this is a lovely capture! Brilliant! I also happen to love beautiful poisons: if it stings, is poisons, or both, then chances are I'll be intrigued by it.

Flower picker/snipper, beware! Can't tell a bloom by its cover. Splendiferous clarity, colors and detail in this shot, Marilyn!

Ya know. I hear its deadly and how you have to wear gloves and be protected if you are pruning them and not to let the sap touch you, etc. I have a huge one in my back yard - taller than my house - and I get in there and cut it back and prune every 2 years. I get stuck with cut branches and end up with so many scratches and cuts when I'm done and I've never been sick or felt weird. Not that I'd eat it of anything but I don't seem to be affected. Maybe I'm naturally more toxic than it is and that keeps me from having a reaction to it. Outstanding shot.

That's what you call: "Deadly Beautiful" or "Looks that can Kill" !!!
