Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I used to have socks that colour, same as your flips not the path. Excellent capture, like Alan I have seen them with small pebbles but never shells. We collected thousands of shells from the sea side and we were going to cement round the pond and stick all the shells in to make it look a bit different than your avarage pond, never got round to it though. Never seen a blue sidewalk before either. Bravo!!!!!

WOW. Now the color in THIS pops. I love the vividness of it, the really cool intensity! The green flip flops are priceless too!

I simply cannot walk in flip-flops ... it amazes me that anyone can, so you have my admiration! I love embedded seashell effects ... most UK seaside towns have at least one garden totally covered with fairytale structures treated this way [and often populated by gnomes and fairy figurines]. I'll look out for one next time I get away [when this damned Bell's Palsy goes!!] Thanks for sharing. Mike

Taking a step in the right direction. Fascinating to see this display of shells (of the sea variety, I presume) embedded in the lovely blue walk, Marilyn! And your foot would do justice to Cinderella!

I love the shells in the walkway. Your foot is so sexy in that neon green flip flop. :-) I have my own favorite pair. Unfortunately, the ones I got married in had to be tossed a couple years back...oh, yeah...I am so into my flip flops I wore some black ones when I got married. :-) Fun shot.

I have different colored flip-flops for every dress I own. LOL! When it's hot here in the summer, it's the only way to go! Still ... I have to be color coordinated! :) And your flips? Well, they're surely green! (She said!)
