Description

Chester Zoo UK. Best viewed full-size There were 2 distinct colours of Flamingo's and I appologise for not finding out what the difference was, These were this very bright colour and there were many paler pink, most of which were sectioned off from these. Jeff said every time he looked round I was off over here taking shots of these beauties lol. Wikipedia showed some this colour classing them as Carribean Flamingo's. Also stated that Flamingo's are dying out in Tanzania and Kenya in their thousands.

Excellent capture and presentation Alan, these are somewhat the same as Richards upload last week, a very deep colour, and you captured these two perfectly. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

A perfectly captured shot Alan. Startling information about the dying off. Does the color have anything to do with their diet? Sig...

Sig is right - it's their diet. They eat shrimp, which makes them pink. Great capture! They are so amazingly alike, even down to the angle of their legs! Beautiful.
